La-la-la-la-what song is this? I believe I heard it at a store recently, and it wasn't the first time I'd heard it. It's probably some super popular song, and I will probably smack myself in the forehead from the obviousness when I figure out what it is. New Gold Dream by Simple Minds? Could it be "Love Plus One" by Haircut ?
Thank you! So it's "ah-ah-ah-ah" rather than "la-la-la-la" which is probably the only reason Google didn't help me, right? Oh wait, see that it's Haircut The fact that I knew that instantly based on your lyric sample is troubling. I am astounded. That was sort of amazing. I'd have bet good money against this question being answered in two comments. I was shocked to see the green check next to this post.
Nice work. I'm amazed that juneperesque got it from "la la la la la la" when the song went "ah ah ah ah ah. See, it's not the "la" or the "ah," it's the rhythm of the hyphens. The song pretty clearly uses that rhythm, so when I read it aloud, it seemed obvious. The "la" may have even helped, since it's the first syllable to "love" when spoken aloud.

I had heard it before, but I never knew what it was. If someone could please help me, it would be much appreciated. I've had this song stuck in this head all day and I want to listen to it, and not just for today, but also in the future so I can have another song I can listen to.Spandau Ballet - True
Maybe it's a pronunciation misinterpretation or something, I don't know. But the song I'm thinking of has beat behind each 'ah,' and the 'ah' is more elongated than all the other songs that were suggested to me.
I just wish I could explain it better, but there really isn't a way to clarify something that isn't known. If I could sing it, it would be much, much clearer.

Aah, ah, ahh, aw, and awe are all pronounced the same—at least they are in the part of the country where I live—but each one has a different meaning. Chances are, so have you. Aah is an interjection that is used as an exclamation to express fear. Someone could have jumped out and startled you, a deranged killer armed with a knife or an ax could be chasing you, or a strange noise could have just sent chills up your spine.

Aw is used when you see something you think is cute or adorable. It is also used to show feelings of great disappointment. A variant spelling is awwbut that is less popular.
Aw, if only I had studied harder, maybe I would have at least gotten a passing grade on the test. Awe is an overwhelming feeling of reverence, admiration, fear, etc. One can be in awe of God, political figures, sports players, actors or actresses, etc.
